Days lost to weekends
The weekend problem. When a public holiday lands on a Saturday or Sunday, workers get no compensating day off, it is effectively lost. Eight Swiss holidays are pinned to a weekday and are always safe; only the fifteen fixed-date holidays can be lost. Pick a canton to see how it is affected.

Build a calendar to import
Pick the years and cantons you want, download an .ics file, and import
it into Google Calendar (or any calendar app). Every holiday is labelled with the
cantons that observe it, e.g. Whit Monday (BE + ZG) or
Corpus Christi (ZG).
Removing it later: imported events can't be bulk-deleted in Google Calendar. Before importing, create a new calendar (Settings → Add calendar → Create new calendar) and import into that one, then you can remove every holiday at once by deleting that single calendar.
